Certification:

Masters of Instructional Leadership, University of Alabama, 2020

Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, Troy University, 2013

Educational Background:

I grew up in a military family where I moved every few years. I attended 13 schools before I graduated high school. Immediately following high school, I attended Troy University in Dothan where I completed my bachelors degree in Elementary Education. I also attended the University of Alabama where I completed my Masters degree in Instructional Leadership.

Work Experience:

I began my teaching career in Texas where I taught second grade for two years. My husband and I relocated to Alabama and I taught first grade for one year in Montgomery. It was not until I joined the Millbrook Middle School family, that I found my passion for middle school. I started here at Millbrook Middle School as a fifth grade, English language arts and social studies teacher and stayed in that position for four years. Then, I moved up to sixth grade, where I taught just English language arts for two years. I have now found my new passion, which is school leadership and I am loving every moment.
