Biography:

I am the oldest of three children. I have lived in Georgia, Louisiana, Washington, and three places in Alabama. I graduated from Stanhope Elmore High School in 1998. I got married in 2007 and have two wonderful kids, a girl and a boy. We enjoy the outdoors, especially camping and the lake.

I knew I wanted to come back and teach in my hometown because it is such a wonderful place filled with wonderful people. I love that I get to teach my favorite subject. Science is so hands on. I love experimenting and finding out if what we know or thinking is fact. It is like a puzzle.

This year is my second year teaching only STEM. I have taught AMSTI science and enjoy all the hands on experimentation. STEM will get to be an extension of this with me being able to facilitate the students with engineering, designing, and creating prototypes. I can't wait to see the students in action and using their creativity while working together to solve real world problems.
