I taught my first three years as a 7th/8th Language Arts/Reading Teacher at Sunrise Middle School in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Afterwards, I transferred to Ramblewood Middle School in Coral Springs, FL where I taught seven years as a 6th/7th grade Language Arts/Reading Teacher. Then, before relocating to Alabama, I taught a year at Coconut Creek High School as a 9th grade Intensive Reading Teacher.

This school year will be my ninth year as a 7th Language Arts teacher at MMS.

I am originally from the Coconut Creek, FL area. Due to my husband's job relocation opportunity through the Maxwell Air Force Base, we had to leave a place I called home for the past 34 years of my life. He has recently retired. Also, we have a 13-year-old daughter.

Currently, I have been residing in the Millbrook, AL area for nine years now. I have become very comfortable with my new home- ALABAMA.
